Solve : Mixing hardrives?? |
|
Answer» I am going to buy a 300GB SATA150 harddrive that is compatible with the motherboard that I will also buy, but I have also salvaged an IDE harddrive from a past computer. Would it be possible to combine the two hardrives in one computer? Also, I figure, the more HDD space, the better, but could it be potentially bad for the computer to have two HDD's of different interface and different memory?Should not be a problem at all as long as you install the drivers for the SATA drive it should have no problem with the other drive... It's not a 2 gig. 5400 RPM drive is it? Or a (SHUDDER...) DeathStar ? ? patio. Oh those worthless things! I had a 30 gig which for some reason is seen as a 2 gig in one of my Dell's and the rest is unaccessible. It makes the click-click SOUND of death, so it's going out very soon. |
