Solve : Mixing hardrives??

Answer»

I am going to buy a 300GB SATA150 harddrive that is compatible with the motherboard that I will also buy, but I have also salvaged an IDE harddrive from a past computer. Would it be possible to combine the two hardrives in one computer? Also, I figure, the more HDD space, the better, but could it be potentially bad for the computer to have two HDD's of different interface and different memory?Should not be a problem at all as long as you install the drivers for the SATA drive it should have no problem with the other drive...
Decide how you want them setup and you should be good to go...It's not a 2 GIG. 5400 RPM drive is it?no
No problem at all with that or your DVD ROM drive. (see other post) Quote

Or a (SHUDDER...) DeathStar ? ?

patio.
Oh those worthless things! I had a 30 gig which for some reason is seen as a 2 gig in one of my Dell's and the rest is unaccessible. It makes the click-click SOUND of death, so it's going out very soon.
