Solve : Modular PSU and graphics card cable question?

Answer»

I am UPGRADING my GPU from a 1660 ti to an RTX 2070, and I'm also upgrading my psu to a modular one (EVGA Supernova 750 G5).  The NEW GPU requires an 8 pin and 6 pin cable from the PSU, but since the psu is modular, I have two choices.  Option 1: I can use a single cable which is an 8 pin plug on the PSU end that splits at the other end with two 8 pin PLUGS (that can be either 8 or 6 as needed).  Option 2: I can use two separate cables which are an 8 pin plug each at the PSU, and a single 8 (8 or 6) pin at the other end.

My question is if I use the single cable with two connections on the GPU end, will that provide enough power to the GPU, or if I use the two separate cables, does that provide too MUCH power?
