The only option is an extender cable.I believe there is a length limitation.You'll always have a length limitation with any analogue signal, but there's no "fixed" limitation as such. You just have to try it and see. Signal QUALITY at the monitor end depends on many things - quality of the cable, external EMF interference, etc.
If you WANT to separate the PC and the monitor by more than a few metres THOUGH, your better option is simply to use two different PCs, with VNC software installed.
