Solve : Monitor colors look horrible?

Answer»

I had onboard video and then bought a radeon x1650. After I installed it, my MONITOR colors looked horrible (before it was almost perfect, just not bright enough). I used the drivers from ati and then the manufacturer, tried adjusting in catalyst and even with the buttons on the monitor, i couldn't get it to look anywhere close to before the x1650. i uninstalled the x1650, and it still looks like it did with it no matter what i try.

how do i get it looking like before or BETTER? my monitor is a NEC multsync 70 and im USING windows xp. below are some before and after screenshots.

did you reinstall your onboard video drivers?? and uninstall the radeon drivers?Your images don't seem to support your alleged problem. I really see no difference between the before and after images. To me, after, looks better, then before.Quote from: CyberHawk on January 12, 2008, 03:31:51 PM

yes. hmm, something wrong with the before pics? right now its almost unbearable and i don't know if i'm doing damage to my EYES. reds are orange. yellows are gold. whites are not really white. it looks blurry even with clear type enabled.

After another look, I agree. So, we see the opposite of what he says he sees.Maybe young eyes....LOLcolor-wise, i cannot see a difference, resolution-wise, i can see a difference, although it may just be the quality of the pictures. (look at the START button in the before and after pics.)
