I have noticed my monitor starting to darken recently. I currently have the brightness all the way up and contrast set to the most beneficial setting. I have an older 21" NEC MultiSync 6FG monitor. Does this darkening mean that the monitor is starting to die? Is there anything I can do to restore the monitor to proper working order. I use the monitor for work it is on EVERYDAY for 8 to 10 hours. There are also a couple of dark curved spots near the bottom corners and one in the upper right. These have also STARTED to get worse recently.In all probability it is on the verge of giving up the ghost. You can have it repaired or replace it. Some TV repair SHOPS will repair monitors and some will not. Won't hurt to check around.Yep, it sounds LIKE it's heading south. Unfortunately the repair is usually more than the cost of a new one in our disposable society. :-/
