Hello all,

My problem is this, whenever I turn my computer on, it comes up as normal goes through POST and then winXP loading screen...

...but then just as the winXP loading screen finishes the monitor dies :-/
but the computer sounds like it is still loading and logging on (I have no user name so it usually just logs STRAIGHT on) 8-)

I have recently installed some sound-proofing on this inside panels so I am worried that I might have accidentally knocked my graphics card and buggered it up with static or something

Do I need a new graphics card or is there some other solution :-? :-? :-?Well, you might just want to open it up (take the necessary precautions of course) and find out. Make sure it's in nice and tight, and nothing is touching it. Have you made any other changes to your SYSTEM recently?

FlameI installed some soundproofing sheets that STICK to the side panels, i installed some LED and cathode tubes and some molex grips (replacement heads for the 4-pin power connectors), I can get into safe mode, and I have uninstalled my graphics drivers and am in the PROCESS of reinstalling them.

Could it be power consumption problem??How many watts does yours deliver?

Check all connections & cards. RESEAT them if you must.

Recheck all connections if you replaced molex connectors.

Does it do the same thing in Safe Mode?

I have a 350W silent PSU, its a brand name but I bought it a about 4 years ago and can't remember, all power connectors are sound, attempting to instal drivers nowYes, install your updated video drivers. Make sure you do it right...

What the *censored* was that that happened cos' I never touched the hard drive and yet I had to reinstall my graphics drivers???
