Answer» I did use the eMachine web site and updated from there with the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series driver.Well, in that case, it looks like on-board video is SHOT. You may need to buy real video card. Thanks, any suggestions?
Is this something I can pick up at Micro Center and do you about how much the card costs?
If you can please list a specific card that I should look for. Is this easy or hard to replace?
Thanks again,I don't know what Micro Center is, but if it's some store where computers are sold, video cards will be there, too. Almost any video card will do. You may ask sale PERSON for recommendation. Make sure, it has at least 256MB of RAM. It should be no more than $50. It's easy to install after OPENING computer case. Post back, when you get card. We'll want to know what type of card it is, and we'll tell you what to do.Thanks, I will go buy a card tomorrow. I'm sorry I thought Micro Center was national chain. No problem You are LUCKY to have a Micro Center near you... Great pricing; service and a better than average Return Policy ...one of the better brick and mortar stores out there.Installed new card and now the monitor works fine. Thanks for the help. The card I used is Verto 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Graphics Card COST was about $54.00
Thanks again Beautiful Thanks for posting back.
