Solve : Monitor keeps shutting down at start-up...? |
|
Answer» This is my first time replacing HARDWARE, and it may be a simple fix, as in flipping the ribbon connector, etc...I took my old pentium IV computer, and was setting it up for just gaming. When I tried running my windows 98' second edition disc I discovered that I had a bad disk drive. I purchased a new one and installed it, but now my Monitor won't stay on, and displays for a couple seconds before shutting itself off again that it can't find a cable connection. I was very careful changing out the bad drive, but may have jiggled something else loose by the video card. Any direction WOULD be helpful. I have very little experience with the MECHANICS part of a computer. |
