Hi there, I'm fairly new to this community, so go easy on me.

My problem right now is, that after replacing nearly the entire computer, my monitor, when started along with the computer, displays a "No signal detected!" message. I'm using a stationary computer, and I'll go ahead and LIST the specs.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1225 Quad Core 3.1GHz
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
GPU: ASUS GTX660 Ti 2GB
RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 8GB (2x4)
PSU: OCZ ModXStream-Pro 700W
HDDs: Samsung SSD 830 Series 128GB & Western Digital Caviar Green HDD 2TB

This problem APPEARED the first time I tried to boot it after I'd uninstalled all the previous parts, excluding the PSU. My former PSU was a SilverPower something at 500W, and I suspected this might either have been too weak or the manufacturers lied about the wattage. So today I bought a new PSU, the one listed above, the only difference between the two being that this PSU is modular and more powerful, whereas the older one was non-modular. The problem persisted, so I turn to you GUYS. It's not all too urgent, but sitting here unsuccessfully browsing the web for a solution is becoming rather boring. My daily activities used to be gaming, now it's getting angry at the fact that nothing bloody works.

Anyways, yes, I've checked all the cords and made sure they're in the right places, I've tried the HDMI output on both the GPU and the motherboard, I've tried it without the dedicated GPU, I've tried PUTTING the *censored* motherboard in a box along with only the most essential parts and booting it from there using a screwdriver, but nothing works. (The motherboard box, which is non-conductive.) I'm positive I didn't give it a static jolt while rebuilding it, either.

So any help, guys? I'll love you forever if we can solve this.You have a dead new build. Have you checked everything for correct assembly, RAM seated OK, all components compatible, especially because the ASUS P8Z77-V Pro CPU compatibility list has only one (1) Xeon, the E3-1230 v2. (and for that you need BIOS version 1504 or later) Have you a good reason for using a non-ASUS-listed CPU?

Now that's strange, I could've sworn I saw my Xeon on the list of compatible processors.

Well then there's the problem, I take it. And yes, the RAM is installed correctly, I've built computers from SCRATCH before, I'm just not very familiar with the Xeon processors, and since I was sort of rushing getting a new CPU, I obviously made a mistake. I'll look into getting another CPU and post here if that fixes it.

Edit: TyposThey might have listed it previously but then deleted it, I suppose. A quick look at some forums I found via Google suggest that Xeons (not a desktop CPU type) can be problematical.

Yeah, thanks for noticing it, mate. Gonna get myself an i5 and get back into familiar territory, heh.Sadly this did not fix my problem, and I instead suspect that one of my parts are broken, perhaps they were damaged during shipping.
