Solve : Monitor not "catching" boot up?

Answer»

Hello, I'm trying to run a computer with Windows XP. Currently when I power up my PC, the monitor does not switch from standby to on.

Above is the monitor I'm currently using. To run a test I pulled the harddrive out and hooked it into another PC in which it booted great.

So I know it's not the harddrive, could it be monitor issues? Perhaps video card? On the first PC I'm using just integrated graphics but on the test PC I have a Nvidia 8800 installed.Try monitor on another computer.Alright, this is GOING to seem weird...I swapped monitors from the 2 computers. Both work just fine! But when I swapped the MAG monitor back to the PC with the integrated graphics it fails to work.

I don't know whats going on

I'd hate to have to switch permanently because I'd be going from a 22" widescreen to a 17". But if that's what it takes so be it. THANK you for your HELP Broni. It is much obliged. Is MAG 17" monitor new to PC with on-board video? If not, did it work before? If yes, are monitor drivers installed?
