Solve : Monitor not connecting? |
|
Answer» I've just bought a new monitor (Benq EW2780q) and was planning to connect it via HDMI (it only has HDMI and DISPLAY PORT and my PC doesn't have display port). I've just bought a new monitor (Benq EW2780q) and was planning to connect it via HDMI (it only has HDMI and display port and my PC doesn't have display port). You answered your own question. GET another monitor. My own HDMI luck has been poor. HDMI sucks.Ignore the above advice... Many vid cards need the proper drivers installed to enable HDMI... You could go back to your VGA connection and install them...on re-boot it should be fine.Thank you. I've UPDATED the video card drivers, but it doesn't help. The new monitor doesn't have a VGA option.....Have you tried contacting Chillblast support? MAYBE there's a setting in the BIOS or elsewhere that needs to be toggled to enable HDMI.Do you have a dedicated graphics card? If you do Chillblast computers disables all graphics connections from the motherboard. Only the Graphics card connections are enabled. So if the HDMI connection is a motherboard connection your monitor will not work. Thanks - no I hadn't thought of that...
