Solve : Monitor not displaying 800x600 resolution? |
|
Answer» My monitor is a Hanns-G HN199D, (19-inch) and whenever I try to change the display to 800x600, the screen dies and says "Out of Frequency" when normally, it is able to display 800x600. I am not sure of the problem, my graphics drivers are up-to-date (I have an nVidia 6200) and I am relatively sure of my monitor driver. (Device Manager says that the monitor driver is a "plug and play" driver) I tried using another monitor to display that resolution, but it didn't work, ALSO. It was an HP Pavilion vx74. I've now run out of options, and am not sure of what to do. Please help!Is there not a button on the monitor that says Auto or Auto Adjust or something similar?sounds like your card isnt supporting the 800x600, try reinstalling the most recent video drivers. Okay, I think I've found the problem. I had a beta version of the 177 release of the NVidia driver, and I think that was causing it not to display the 800x600 resolution. So, I just reinstalled the 175 driver, which was the "most UPDATED" and "most stable" version. Problem solved! Thanks, guys. XDCongrats.
