Answer» My computer is an HP Pavilion s7320n Slimline with an HP vs15 monitor. I am not sure what other specs. might be needed.
About 4 or 5 days ago, the power went out at my college and afterwards, my monitor will not turn on. I tried adjusting the cables, using a DIFFERENT CABLE, but it still will not work. The computer itself is fine, I am using it right now, but the monitor is not.
The blue light (for the monitor power button) would come on for a second or two some of the times when I tried to turn it on, but not very long. Now that I am back home, it is not even doing that.
I do not know much about monitors, so I do not know what exactly could be wrong or how I could fix it, if it can be fixed (I hope so!).
If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it a lot, thank you!!
Cassie Did you try the monitor with another working computer? If it still doesn't work, it's shopping time. Monitors are not worth fixing.Well, it isn't the connection that is the problem, it just isn't getting power or something like that. I'm sure that it would work fine if the power was working.
So are you saying there is no way to fix maybe just a power SUPPLY problem?
Thanks for the help Power supply ,or the board or poss:both. Change out the power supply first & hopefully that will solve the pblmI'm thinking that the display MITE be shot, there is no real way to tell unless you try it with another machine.
