Solve : Monitor on standby, after replacing motherboard battery??

Answer»

please help,

I replaced the small mother board BATTERY, and when I now turn the pc on, the monitor goes on standby, the power is on, and the pc bleeps 3 times and then nothing happens.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP?Sounds like you might have dislodged something when you replaced the battery. Open the case and make sure your video card (and everything else) is properly seated.the way its in may not be right try it the other way. Also, post what unit it is.just opened it again, battery is in the right way, checked the graphics card all SEEMS fine but still no joy with the monitor.

HELP!!

BTW: its an only 933mhz dell pc, PENT3, intel,

PLEASE HELP!! what happens when you boot it without the battery?
and why did you change the battery?without the battery nothing happens same, still monitor on standby mode.

checked the graphics card
I take it that graphics is not integrated then.
Does it have integrated graphics?
Reason I ask is I'm thinking maybe resetting the BIOS by removing the battery changed the graphics output back to default/integrated/factory. Now if you still have your monitor plugged in to the add-in graphics card - it's not getting a signal. If this is the case, try plugging the monitor into the integrated graphics just to get it back up and running.
Reseat your ram,....make sure all connectors from front panel are attached to motherboard header pins what??? This is a dell unless he changed it that I doubt there fine. since this is a dell there will be a LIGHT code on the back wich can be used to figure out what is wrong.
