Answer» Recently bought a 2nd hand base unit, all plugged in etc. I plug it into my TV and whilst loading the operating system it sees to LOAD ok, but then it'll stop and shows a message on the monitor saying "not supported model".
I dont know what the graphics card is etc, I think it is used with a digital lead? The white one with the squares?
I somehow loaded it on a lower resolution and it worked.
Can you please help?
THANKS, Jimmy_el_ShoeWhat my problem be the refresh rate?
Oh and by the way the computer is running Vista. I've never used it before EITHER
ThanksAnyone got any crazy ideas?
I get in on safe mode fine, although Vista wont let me change the refesh rate.So nobody has a scooby? We need alot more info on the machine, which vid card and what type of monitor...It's a 15" Samsung LCD TV. Don't know the exact model.
Apparently from the guy I bought it from, it has a "nvidia geforce 6600gt 128mb graphics".
Does that make any sense?
Cheers, The ShoeSo he sold you a TV and a video card ? ? Or was that the card he ran the TV on ? ? If thats the video card you bought if you click on the link below you can DLoad a PDF MANUAL that will tell exactly what type of monitors/TV's the card supports...
So you'll need the Samsung Model # after all.
http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_6600.htmlNo I already have the monitor as a TV.
Im struggling to find the PDF on the site! Can you point me in the right direction?
2nd box down on the LEFT side...Yeh I d/l that PDF but it doesn't say anything about what monitors it works with!?!!??bounce
