Answer» so i got a new monitor with a vga slot and a dvi-d slot. my video card has a dvi-i slot and comes with a vga to dvi-i ADAPTER.
so what i used to do was hook up the vga cable to the adapter on the video card and into the vga slot on the monitor. this didnt work and my monitor didnt SHOW anything on the screen.
my QUESTION is do u think my monitor would DISPLAY something if i bought a vga to dvi-d adapter for the monitor?yes you probably would get the monitor working if you got a vga to dvi-d adaptor. DVI-I and DVI-D are different versions of DVI just how Super VGA and VGA are different versions.so i bought the vga to dvi-d adapter and it still doesnt work! help!!!!
i DONT know why its not working dont panic, now all you need to do is buy the dvi-d to dvi-i adapter and hook it up to the other adaptor an then plug each end to the video card and the monitor
