Answer» Will be changing video card to one having HDMI so I can send in digital FORM a stereo WAV file mixed to 6 channels to an HDMI port on a 5.1 AV Receiver. Have my desk top PC function as a digital jukebox From what I have determined, can not be done digitally using a USB-HDMI adapter (not with 6 audio channels) or SPDIF. This leaves only HDMI on a video card. Do not want to use a 5.1 sound card. This would cause the signal to go through DAC leaving the computer and ADC entering the receiver to be processed before going to DAC to be amplified. But what HAPPENS is there is audio and video? Watching a dvd through the PC DVD drive. Watching video from the internet. My GUESS is the video goes out through the HDMI port and does not get to the monitor Can something be done so video goes to the monitor? Some kind of dual monitor set up? I have a VGA and digital monitor
