Answer» When ever I start my computer now, the monitor TURN on for a few seconds and then shuts off itself. I turn it on again but it's not turning on. What's WRONG with it?Maybe the monitor is dying, or maybe it's choked full of dust? TRY it on another known working PC, and if it works you might have a bad video card in your PC... I'm comfortable OPENING a monitor to frush out the dust, but you have to be careful of the CRT ANODE (35KV) when you do this. If it is the monitor, get a new or refurbished one or clean it out.
