Answer» Well when I turn my secondary monitor on after it's been off for a while it just starts turning on and off continuously by itself and after a while it will stop and stay on. It's only done this twice so far, yesterday and just now today when I got home just now, and it started doing it for no reason that I can tell.
I have Windows XP service pack 2 with an ATI Radeon X1600 video card and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor and 2GB of OCZ Gold RAM and a Sound Blaster LIVE! 24-bit video card and a Seagate 160GB hard drive.
I suspect and a friend of mine told me it's a short in the monitor but he gives me bad computer advice frequently telling me to REFORMAT for the simplest of things I find solutions for later. H*ll I'm surprised he didn't tell me I needed to reformat to fix this. I just want to be for sure before I go spending a lot of money on a new monitor when it COULD be fixed perhaps.Hi i've encounter that problem in my CRT monitor. The cause of the problem is in the power supply or the vertical ZONE, Just send it for repair... If the prblm. is in that monitor it would not be worth having it repaired
