Solve : monitor/video card problems? |
|
Answer» my computer keeps on restarting. But the problem is that, when it restarts, the green LAMP of the monitor changes to orange and no matter how hard i try to "revive" it by pressing the reset button, it still gives me the blank screen. Before, i managed to turn it on again by turning off the whole system and then wait for 20 or more minutes before turning it on again. But today, as soon as i turn on pc, it is already in that state, though it had been off the whole night. I have tried cleaning the video card but it doesn't solve the problem. By the way, i'm using Windows Xp home edition service pack 2 and my motherboard is Asus P5PE-VM. I hope you guyz could help me. Thanks a lot.have you try without the graphic card? Quote from: kuszmania9999 on November 24, 2007, 04:58:10 AM have you try without the graphic card? Most BIOS will beep in error if a way to produce video (through on-board or a card) isn't found. Anyway, Ken... You said you cleaned the video card. According to ASUS, the model you specified has on-board video. Quote from: ASUS website The P5PE-VM,with integrated Intel Extreme Grpahics 2,delivers powerful integrated 2D and 3D graphics performance for functionality and value. So we'll need to know the following: 1. It sounds like you have an added on video card. What is it (make/model)? 2. Have you tried using the on-board video? 3. Have you checked your monitor cable? Since you have on-board and another video card, make sure your monitor is connected to the correct one. 4. How long have you had this problem? Did it work properly before? Have you added/removed any hardware? Has there been any other odd behavior or error messages from the computer? 5. What are the full, complete specs of your system?Did you try Safe Mode?mr muyot ken anything has happen to your video card? do you have any 3d games had been installed in your pc? any thing happens when you run the game? is your video card is compatible with your other board? is it supports 3D graphics? please answer it.. and i will help you with your problems? Ken I know now what is the problem of your computer.... sorry if i could tell you but one thing for sure that is your motherboard or video card is not working properly in case that you haved use a 3D graphic game you cannot use it if your video card is too low or i should say it is not compatible with the game, and another thing is when you accidentally deleted any of drivers a graphiic driver or AUTOMATICALLY deleted because in some case some computers malfunction improperly due to any of things that you should not installed on it... thirdly some video card affects the running of resolution because some video card cannot support high resolution graphics or it should say colors and if your video card is too low it DOESNT give you a chance to see it again one thing i can say for it is buy another video card with a high resolution or maybe you switch the resolution of your monitor and that is maybe the problem ok bye..... oh wait just for one thing ken txt nalang tayo kasi anytime DI ako ONLINE sige bye.. |
