Solve : monitor/video problem?

Answer»

this old guy is a new guy to this forum. on startup the monitor indicates "signal out of range" and lists ~75 mhz freq's.  tried other working monitor, got same result, evidently output to monitor unsat?.  card?  driver?  if driver, how check with no monitor?  good ONE, HM? Is this a wireless monitor?

[glb]Flame[/glb]not wireless, standard 17" flat screen crt with standard cable connection to CPU and a separate power CORD.  I don't think it's the monitor because ANOTHER unit hooked up did the same thing. ok... What model/manufacturer of video card do you have?

[glb]Flame[/glb]Try to get to BIOS before computer gets to Windows.  Keep tapping DEL key (or F1 or F2 or whatever) on power up.  If BIOS screen displays, then basic video mode is working.
