Answer» i built a really nice COMPUTER but when everything is plugged in NOTHING happens no LEDs no fans nothing. the mother board I'm using said that i needs 500W the POWER supply is only a 450W one. i was planning on buying a better one later that one just came with the case but would this be the cause of nothing happening or did a REALLY screw up and did SOMETHING WORSE than a poor power supply Yes, get a new power supply. What is the brand and model of your motherboard? Thermal paste applied properly ? ? MBoard standoffs all in place ? ? Heatsink/fan combo mounted properly ? ? 4 pin ATX power cord plugged in to the MBoard ? ?
