The motherbaord on my pc(HP) went bad. The manufacturer will replace the whole pc because of warranty. How do I get my downloaded files and documents off the harddrive before I send my pc back? They put a sticker (seal) on the machines that you have to break in order to open the case. So there is no way to get the data from your hard drive if the motherboard is dead. If you explain to the company that you really want all of your STUFF, then thay may recover it for your.That is true but not all the time.
