Solve : Motherboard, CPU, Fan Constantly Running shutting down pc?

Answer»

After reviewing other posts, I found some, that came close to my problem, but not my problem. So, now I have to post...lol.. anyway, my fan constantly runs when playing games on Facebook.. If I keep playing, say about a minute, my pc shuts down. I have speedfan (DONT understand any of it) & hijackthis, and dont understand any of it either. I did something, not sure what,  and at least now, the fan doesn't run while doing other things on the internet. (My PC was running slow also..) It seems to be better. I thought the CPU was getting hot, so now I have a fan blowing on the pc...doesnt help.  So, below is my specs of my PC, HP a6110n... If you NEED the hijackthis, sys config, & speedfan status too, let me know.. thanks

If you mean a desk fan blowing on the PC case, I'm not surprised. This will do nothing to help an overheating processor. (Maybe you think "CPU" MEANS the computer system box?)

This is a PC system box

Here are some processors/CPUs

Given that you suspected temperature issues, and given that you have Speedfan installed, some CPU temperature readings would have been a good idea. Typical temperature when idling (doing nothing) and how high it goes when you do something intensive (those Facebook games?).

What we can maybe do is talk you through setting up Speedfan, but I wonder if the CPU or heatsink needs looking at. Is this a store bought computer of a home build?
