Answer» Dear's Without a make and model of the motherboard your guess is as good as ours.Quote from: SOYBEAN on May 07, 2007, 01:23:07 PM Quote from: GX1_Man on May 07, 2007, 12:15:54 PMWithout a make and model of the motherboard your guess is as good as ours. Wouldn't 440BX2 Se be the model number? Yeah, that appears to be the model. extreme, you now have a 450MHz processor. Is that right? I visited Intel's website, did a SEARCH, and found no info on that motherboard. I guess that's because it's a rather old model. Best suggestion I can make is to use Google and search for some info on it.At this site: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Intel_Desktop_Board_SE440BX_2__5410528 I found this info: Quote Compatible Processors: PENTIUM II, Celeron, Celeron A, Pentium III I don't know if it is accurate, or even if it is exactly what you need. Maybe somebody else here will visit that site and see what they think of the info found there. Good find, WillyW. That appears to be it. And, the info says Max Processor Speed: 450 MHz. So, he's at the max now.Quote from: soybean on May 08, 2007, 06:07:19 PM Good find, WillyW. That appears to be it. And, the info says Max Processor Speed: 450 MHz. So, he's at the max now. Thank you for taking time to go check that out and post back here. I thought so... but wasn't sure of what the original poster was asking.... if that was all, or not. And I like to get second opinions on the finer points of hardware specs. I'm not a guru. He COULD donate it to a museum.Quote from: extreme on May 07, 2007, 12:20:59 PM Dear GX_man That narrows it down to a couple of hundred. |
