Answer» GREETINGS, First of all i would like to thanks every experts here for solving our querries & also for this great community of yours. As you can see, this is my first post so please go slow. Now, i got a problem of shutting down of my pc.It started recently about 2-3 DAYS ago.First, whenever i start my pc ( lets say getting up in the morning & starting it ) it will start normally, everythings fine, but after 5-10 minutes it will shutdown, then i will unplug the cable from the back that connects to the graphic card, ie; FX 5200 & then again reconnect it, push the main button from the cpu & then with in few minutes it will start & then again shut down. Now, after all this hassals, repeating this procedure the third TIME would make the computer get going smoothly.Wierd!! My pc works like there was no problem at all. You all wont believe but this is what that is all going on for the past 2-3 days. Any kind of help would be great. My computer specs, Asus p4p 800 se with 2.8 ghz G-force Fx 5200 graphic card 512 mb ddr ram 350 watts smps (touchmate something)Dinish: Three possibilities: 1. The computer is overheating and shutting down to protect the computer from being damaged. Use a can of compressed air to blow dust out of the case and out of the vents (not into the computer case) and check to see that all the fans are spinning. 2. The power supply is dieing hard or overtaxed. This can HAPPEN if you have added more hardware than your power supply can handle. Try having a computer repair shop replace the power supply with a more powerful one. 3. A computer virus or Trojan Horse is to blame. Try updating your virus definitions for your antivirus SOFTWARE and running a full system scan. Doc |
