Solve : Motherboard Spec help?

Answer» My Motherboard says it has one PCI EXPRESS 16X slot MAX 2 Gbps rate X4 mode What does this meen I thought one direction was 40 Gbps and both ways are 80 Gbps what am I not GETTING or is my Motherboard telling me something els??It means that physically the slot have the form FACTOR of a x16 PCI-E slot but it only runs at x4 speed.
