Answer» hey everyone i have a DFI n4f-dagf and something odd RECENTLY happened. ok so first i installed a new tv card in my system and everything worked ok until that and my audio card stopped functioning. i figured they had both died and started the process of sending them back. however, before i sent them back i tested my audio card on my old computer, and it worked fine. so my question is... is it possible for the pci area of a motherboard to stop working while the rest can function fine? its odd because my computer still works fine, but i guess it wont detect anything on the pci area. my video card still works (which is on pci-express) which puzzled me even more. so if anyone knows whats going on plz leave a message. thanksIt's possible. There are ALSO probably drivers for different parts of your mainboard that may have become CORRUPTED. Go into your control panel / performance and maintenance / system / hardware / device MANAGER. See if anything has a warning next to it. If so, right click on the device, select uninstall, reinstall the drivers for the devices (probably motherboard drivers). Something may have happened to the drivers for your sound and TV cards. You can see if they're listed in the device manager as well, see if they're listed as working or having problems.Just because it came up in another thread, are you overclocking that motherboard/processor?nope i havnt overclocked anythingAny warnings in device manager as Phil asked?Actually, may not be any warnings. My system just won't detect CERTAIN devices untill the drivers are installed. Most mainboards have drivers these days... Try to reinstall them.nope theres no warning devices i should actually clarify a bit about overclocking. ive never actually done it but ive opened up nTune overclocking manager several times but never actually done anything. i'll try reinstalling motherboard drivers. thanks for help
