Answer» I am working on a PC for a lady in town. It's an older PC running WINDOWS ME (No OS disk) Her mouse & video card hiccuped. I reinstalled the driver for the Video & that fixed the problem but, not so lucky with the mouse. Original mouse is a standard PS2 mouse. I went to device manager did an uninstall/reinstall... no luck. Error Code 8.... VMM32.vxd I was wondering if switching to an USB mouse would cheat over the problem ?When all else fails. [yes]Any SUGGESTIONS to fixing the VMM with out the windows crashing ? System restore SEEMS not to want to work, but last checkpoint was in 2005Might want to ask your lady if you can do a up grade?
