Answer» Every so often my mouse goes dead. When I reinsert the USB plug, it runs again. Why is the signal being DROPPED? Mouse is a Logitech MX518 System runs Windows XP sp3 Thank you for replies.I like to report on the solution to this problem since it was never solved and evidently was so difficult an issue that no ONE EVEN attempted a solution. PERHAPS in the future someone else may have this issue and now you will know enough not only to generate a reply, but to actually fix the problem. There was a problem with the mouse itself, not the software. Replacing the mouse fixed the problem. Pass it on.
