Not QUITE. It's 6.22 (the last MS-DOS) that they can step up to. And only from a lower version 6.xx. That is, to use the MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up, your computer MUST be running MS-DOS 6, 6.2, or 6.21. (I told you this about 2 weeks ago.) It's been available since at least 1999. Don't get the Step-Up confused with MS-DOS 6.x upgrade for older VERSIONS of MS-DOS (3.0 to 5.0) which you had to pay for. Quote No explanation of why they would do this. None needed. They have MS-DOS 6, 6.2 or 6.21 installed and they want to update as much as they can. Quote Is it legal? On y if you have a computer. I don't really see the point of these remarks. Is this some kind of running joke? You do realise that this isn't a complete MS-DOS install set? You may as well think of it as a "Service Pack" for the versions of MS-DOS 6 before 6.22. |
