Answer» hi,
i need the re-assembly instructions for 2 Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elites which i took apart with the INTENTION of FIXING. they have proved very hard for me to put back together, and i have tried several times but the PIECES never align correctly.
i bought them 8 years apart, and they look a little different inside. THEREFORE, i think i need 2 different sets of re-assembly instructions. mainly, i don't know how to get that 1" X 2" circuit board below the spacebar and underneath the wrist-rest back in.
the first was bought in 1999 with my Gateway GP6-350 system. it has 2 barcode stickers on the underside: 1st sticker: M/N: E0640/PS2; Product ID 83718-OEM-5636503-29061 2nd sticker: Gateway P/N 7001085; S/N: 8371825636503
the second was bought in 2007 in a store. it has 1 barcode sticker on the underside: KU-0045; Product ID: 71305-545-6896283-10701
there are other codes on the warning stickers, and maybe other small stickers. i listed the ONES that seemed important.
meanwhile, i have emailed Microsoft (don't know if i got the correct email), though i'm not sure they give this info out. maybe someone out there has a blueprint of sorts?
thanks.
You can get new keyboard for under TEN BUCKS: hereQuote from: Broni on January 19, 2008, 08:21:08 PM You can get new keyboard for under TEN BUCKS: here
i know the average keyboard is cheap, but this is an *ergonomic* keyboard. i need this kind - regular keyboards hurt my fingers and cause swelling etc.. so i've been using these for years. they are worth about $35 each, so that's $70 worth of keyboards i'd rather fix than toss.
