My OPTICAL Drives under "My Computer" do not refresh. When I put either a dvd or Cd in after first STARTING the PC the drive shows that disc as being in it even after I TAKE it out. I installed  123 DVD Copy and initailly thought this was the problem so I uninstalled it. However it did not SOLVE the problem. Any suggestions?I thought a "l33t Hax0r" would have known all this stuff. Ho hum.

I have a similar problem. In fact, I hesitate when I call it a problem, because it's incredibly minor. Hardly in the "undocumented bug which creates a black hole" scale, really.

Anyway, I normally find that going into any other folder in My Computer (including Dial-up Networking, Control Panel et al) and the hitting Back, the CD drive shows the title of the CD.

Or I just eject the disk and see what's on the label...LOL.... I actually have tried jst about everything and I still cannnot resolve this issue.. Only thing that fixes it temperarily is to reboot. However when I put a dvd/cd in it will show that this is whats in no matter what I put in after it. and It gives me read errors or simply does not read the disc. I have check many different Message boards to find if anyone else has this problem I seem to be the only one.. Did someone Hack my computer maybe??....lolhttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320174
