BAD and I'm good at ignoring noises. But sometimes
it's so bad I can't stand it - but I have to work.
Does anyone know why it's doing that or how to solve
it?

StephenDoes the ringing appear to come from the speakers, monitor, or computer itself? Is it a RECOGNIZABLE noise of some SORT that you could describe here?
Most odd whining noises in computers that I have come across are a result of build up of DUST in the power supply or processor fans. Canned compressed air normally cures this ailment.It's coming from the computer. The only way I can
describe it is if you had a ringing in your ears - it's
just a high pitched noise. Ha, but it's not my ears.
The dust build up sounds logical. I'll give it a try, thanks.
