Answer» My PC has a consistent RINGING. Sometimes it's not so BAD and I'm good at ignoring noises. But sometimes it's so bad I can't stand it - but I have to work.
Does anyone know why it's doing that or how to solve it?
Cheers, StephenDoes the ringing appear to come from the speakers, monitor, or computer itself? Is it a RECOGNIZABLE noise of some SORT that you could describe here?
Most odd whining noises in computers that I have come across are a result of build up of DUST in the power supply or processor fans. Canned compressed air normally cures this ailment. It's coming from the computer. The only way I can describe it is if you had a ringing in your ears - it's just a high pitched noise. Ha, but it's not my ears.
The dust build up sounds logical. I'll give it a try, thanks.
