Solve : my gateway? |

Answer» i have a gateway that has a 700mhz, 96 ram, but can't get the monitor to come up. it all comes on but the monitor. it has an onboard video Quote ...it all comes on but the monitor.... How do you know if the monitor doesn't come on? Does the power turn on, or does it turn on, and just display a blank screen? ALSO, do you hear any "beeping"? [glb]Flame[/glb]because it doesn't come on lol and it just comes up for a sec on the green light of monitor then switches right to standby no beeps, no nothing Do you have antivirus protection? Also, is your computer hooked-up to a surge protector? If not, then your monitor might have been fried... [glb]Flame[/glb]have a surge protector and this monitor is working well, tested it first thing. my pc analyzer says FF boots and all but just doesn't have video come up i have tried a card instead of the onboard but can't get it up either disconnect surge protecter...........get someone to plug the ......system as it was beforehand...........CHECK all cables/mains plugs/fuse ratings/ before firing it ......and set the system to on ....... monitor>>(buttons/front panel/settings/menu) SEE manual if not sure !someone may have altered the settings on the monitor>kids>.......also someone with stickyfingers may have altered the power settings...... do you have kids...!! Quote 1. this monitor is working well, tested it first thing. 1. How did you test it? 2. What does this mean? 3. Won't work UNLESS you turn off onboard video. |
