Answer» I have two computers , this ONE (the new macbook) and then my desktop is a HP pavilion. The hp has been acting really weird and one day I turn it on and this weird clicking noise and screeching noise greet me. I finally got the idea to PUT the system reboot disk in and when I did it SAID " No hard drive FOUND. PC recovery cannot be CONTINUED! Press any key to continue" I now have the cover off the tower and am looking at all the wires thinking " what have I gotten myself into" Any help ? (I am computer illiterate so please dumb it down for my sake)Oh and I have windows vista and the computer is about 3-4 years old if that helps anyPut the cover back on. Clicking and screeching noises are not good. I'm guessing the HD is shot. If you want to make sure, download the test utility from your hd manufacturer and run it - but my guess based on your audio description is you'll have to replace the drive.how do I download the thing?
