Solve : My Laptop Charger is melting (frying)? |
|
Answer» i have an acer asipre which was built in 2007. and the battery has never been changed. http://www.aboutlawsuits.com/acer-aspire-notebook-recall-7578/ this is for a microphone wire and has NOTHIN to do with the charger... -,-Remove the battery and use only the adapter.laptops have been able to run perfectly fine with dead batteries or no batteries and just run on a charger for over 20 years. Whoever told you "the power just goes back into the charger" has no idea what they are talking about. the battery doesn't "absorb" excess power that is ALWAYS delivered. Anyway, the reason your chargers are frying is probably because they aren't the correct ones for your laptop.Quote Anyway, the reason your chargers are frying is probably because they aren't the correct ones for your laptop.Maybe not. The battery can fail in a mode that will stress the charger. Still, the charger should protect itself. He may have to replace the charger. Before running the laptop with no battery, check with the manufacturer's wbe site. Some say Yea, others say Nay.
