Answer» I've just re formatted my PC. It is a fairly old mobo (asus p5kc) and I've installed windows 8 which on asus' site there are no mobo DRIVERS for 8. I assumed windows updates downloaded all the required drivers anyway but for some reason my mics stupidly QUIET even on max settings. I've tried it on a laptop and works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? Thanks It needs Win8 drivers...Excuse me for SAYING but that doesn't help me too much, I've done all driver updates possible and like I mentioned asus doesn't have supported drivers for win8 on their website for my model of motherboardForgive me for stating the OBVIOUS, but your mobo wasn't designed to support Windows 8. If there are no drivers available for it you should revert to a Windows VERSION that is supported.
