Solve : My monitor is too dark.?

Answer»

I have an HP monitor. The number on the front of it is HP w2408h. For computer stuff it's fine. Watching YouTube is fine. But, for movies, or TV, I usually have to tilt the monitor forward(by putting something underneath the rear of the base). Doing this makes the image lighter because I usually sit back when watching movies. I've tried the brightness controls on the monitor but they only do so much. Again, this is only for movies that are dark to begin with. Like, I was watching Iron Man 2 and the SECOND part of the movie is mostly at night and it's very hard to watch. But, this is also a problem with VLC media player. I know there are controls for interlace and stuff like that but I'm not SURE which ones to try. MAINLY, I just want the picture much light and the darks to APPEAR brighter. Take off your sunglasses.
I think you will find this is the type of monitor There are CRT, Plasma, LCD screens I have a portable television that seems to have the same problem I was told that the screen was WEARING out. However Some LCD models have a restricted viewing angle, but many allow up to 160-degree which could cause the problem
