YES, it reappeared, but then it disappeared. and I find the data transfer rate is very slow, it takes me 4 minutes to transfer a 200MB video! My XP said one of the USB port is defected, something like this. I wonder if I have to install some software or? One end of the connector is Firewire and the other the USBIf Windows says your USB port has a problem, it probably has. Try a different USB port.
