Solve : My screen sometimes tints blue? |
|
Answer» My LCD screen sometimes randomly turns a blue TINT. It's annoying because it's kind of hard to look at and obviously I can't see colors correctly. Is there any WAY to stop this, or is this just the unavoidable aging of my monitor? Even as I'm typing this, the screen is having LITTLE spazzes between normal and the blue tint. And now it's stuck at blue.It could be the connection to your video card. try moving the cable near the video card output and see if your monitor turns back from bluish to normal... mine tends to go purple so. If that does not work what kind of monitor are you using...because monitors do burn out if they are older tube styles, not so much for the new lcd or led monitors. Anyway, this could be a number of things. A faulty cable, a bad video card, a bad monitor. It's a process of elimination really. Check the cable first, then try a different monitor/cable combination. My HP 1710 monitor would go YELLOW at odd times. Moving the cord would fix it. By switching the video cable end for end, I determined that the same end of the cable was bad whether plugged in at the video card or the monitor. I got a new cord, but haven't had a CHANCE to try it. blithe spiritsMust have been the cable coming loose. I just tried pushing it in more after my screen went blue and then the blue went away. Thanks everybody.I determined that the same end of the cable was bad whether plugged in at the video card or the monitor. |
