then could you please assist me on this. Now i got the Everest report (its quite Long)

but tell me which part i will paste here so that not so boring to look for and what you need/want to know

* COuld you please tell me what is my option or what kind of video card i can replace to my old one?

Please tell me what you need more from Everest report thanksYou can install any AGP videocard, however, the motherboard only seems capable of AGP 4x.
An AGP 8X card should be backwards compatible with 4X so that's not a problem, you just won't get the full performance benefit of 8x AGP.Quote

so meaning better i only install AGP 4X?

correct me if im wrong....

one more thing, i dont understand AGP 4x (sorry im noob in this thing)
any other name? The videocard you can install is called AGP videocard.

The 4x and 8x indicate the speed of the AGP slot. You have an 4x AGP slot, but you can install an 8x AGP videocard because the videocard will match the speed of the slot.

4x CARDS are no longer for sale, you can still obtain an 8x card, though. Just don't spend too much on it. Even the cheapest AGP card you can find will be a good improvement over what you currently have.Quote

BOOM

Thanks for that info. (another bread for me)

I would never consider buying used RAM, but that's just me...

How many RAM slots you got and what type does it take?

Ive got about 1 Gb of 256's sitting aroudn ym house form modding my computers... I also got two GeForce 6200 OC's sitting around...

If you want the Ram let me know your specs and ill see if its compatible... If it is ill have you send me an envelope with some extra stamps in it and ill send you the ram for free... its not doing me any good by collecting dust.

Also Ill be willing to sell you the one of the 6200 OC's for about... say 50$?
BTW, its got 256mb RAM in it, not the 128's which GO for about 30$.

Send me a PM if interested.Quote

You can install PC3200 RAM which will revert back to PC266. Unless your manual specifically states you can't.Quote
What i want to know is...

* How do i know what kind of video car i have?
* I want to upgrade my pc to get the game run faster, which one i will uprade:
the RAM?
or the video card?

Your advice/help is appreciated

Thanks in advance

so i installed the 2nd hand ram 512
poor, it did not change anything in my games (C&C generals) maybe there is, but i did not noticed

coz of my curiosity, i found out that i have only 8mb video card and i ask some other people
they said i need to upgrade it to 128mb video card

i need again to save some bucks ($36 for the new one) or maybe i will look for a 2nd hand again

thanks for all your effort

i really learn from this thread
No problem, come back when you have more questions.
