Answer» I WANT to link five computers in a small wireless local net, anybody could recomend the best and cheaper hardware to do it? what i need? hubs? SWITCH? adapters? insertion points? etc. all the computers are pentium 4 and windowsXP sp2 is the OS. thanks :-?1 Wireless Router and 4 wireless PCI cards. I am assuming one will be HARDWIRED with it's own NIC, so you will neeed 1 Cat5E cable of appropriate length.Also try a 2wire modem. It is the best. Linkysis adapters are the best and easiest to install.Keep in mind how FAR these computers will be apart. You will need powerful adapters if they are far away.
