Answer» Hi, Everyone I have a Dell Dimension 2400, and the harddrive that came with it is a 40gb, it works good but I want to clone that hardrive to my new one its 200gbs but i dont know WAY it says unknown device my 40gb shows up but now my 200gb, what can I do to fixs this problem. thanks for looking at my post. The 200G may have shipped unformatted...if so use Disk Management in Windows to format it... If it really is the BIOS that does not see it then the drive is dead.Ok, because the computer WINDOW xp can not FIND it so it must be a bad drive then, thanks for all your help.I believe the Dell Dimension 2400 uses IDE drives. You must the jumper properly on the drive in order for the BIOS to recognize it.
