Answer» I've had several problems with MSI boards. looks like i need to drill some holes in my caseFrom the pic it looks like you have the NECESSARY holes. You might need to move the standoffs around to accommodate the board's screw holes.no three holes dont line up.... what would happen if i just screwed it in with 3 missing??? The board could short out. Quote You might need to move the standoffs around to accommodate the board's screw holes.when you mean short out do you mean like turn on and shut right off or like spark and ruin it Also does anyone knows what happens when you turn it on with no processor what will happen Quote from: alienwarem7700 on April 22, 2010, 08:46:45 PM when you mean short out do you mean like turn on and shut right off or like spark and ruin itCould do either. Not worth risking it. Quote Also does anyone knows what happens when you turn it on with no processor what will happenIt won't POST. It may either not turn on at all, it may turn on, FANS will spin and NOTHING happens, it may turn on and shut down, it may beep, it may not. Different boards do different things. There's no point in turning it on WITHOUT a processor in, regardless. |
