Message:    CMOS/GPNV  Checksum Bad
                  Press F1 to run setup
Press F2 to load default values and continue
I hv to press F2 everytime.I enter to setup but not sure where  the stuff is.

The PC is Soltex,2GHz,now 512MB,60GB.

Thanks all for your reply in waiting.Have you ever pressed F1 to see how much memory is being RECOGNIZED?Also that CMOS battery may be weak or bad...about the size of a dime on your MBoard.

Part # CR 2032 available at any computer store.Yes the new memory is recognized. As U told me might be Cmos battery. thanks ALLI WOULD also travel to crucial.com and enter your MBoard info and make sure you have not purchased the wrong RAM...
