Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Computer MANAGEMENT-->Service and APPLICATIONS-->Services Look for Messenger in the list. First stop the service, then disable it. If you need to run this on a LOT of machines, it may be HELPFUL to write a script. Hope this helps.
