Solve : Network card for High Speed DSL?

Answer»

I have windows xp and WANT DSL HIGH SPEED internet.  What is the best network card to install?Anything really, just make sure it's at least 10/100 mbps.  Don't buy second hand.  I prefer 3-Com cards but that's just a preference.  D-Link and linksys are also good.

If you can buy a 10/100/1000 card buy it.  Go here to take a look at some cards.

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?majorcatid=105&minorcatid=1004Thank You.You're welcome. Is the RJ-45 connector port a standard port on the network card?Yes.  Which is for CAT5 cables.  I'm assuming you're switching from dial up.  Correct?  So you'll need to buy new cables, you won't be able to use the old RJ-11 connectors in the new network card.

Thanks.  The telephone company told me that they will hookup an external modem and supplies the cable.  Thanks again.Usually local computer stores have drawers full of used network cards and will give em away  or for a dollar.  SC
