Answer» Just bought a new computer with 80 MB, but the "my computer" windows shows 63 in C drive, and 10 in D. Also, there is nothing in the D drive yet it says 9.38/10 GB REMAIN. C drive has 51.5/63 GB. I understand the C drive has programs installed and eats up the memory, but why starting off from 63 and not 70? And so then, what is eating up .62 GB in the D drive??
I've heard the computer computes GBs in a different way which leads to this...

What operating system is installed? If you use /Fdisk you may run into some strange Hard Disk Drive SIZES if you donot properly use the tool.SOrry, Windows XP. F disk? You mean format? Everything came preinstalled. LEt me take a look at the article, and thanks!It is not uncommon for larger Hard Disk Drives to miss a few Gigabytes..
