Answer» My new Western Digtal 3,5 USB2.0 320GB HDD is not being detected as new HARDWARE by XP. However under Device Manager a "USB mass storage device" is added with an exclamation mark. I have tried the drive on my neighbours computer and it WORKED fine there, so the drive itself is OK. I also re-installed motherboard drivers again, even copied my neighbours driver "USBSTOR.sys" from his system32\drivers directory to mine, but that did not help either. strange thing is it worked 2 TIMES, but after re-starting WINDOWS I lost the drive again in "my computer". If anyone KNOWS this problem I would love to hear any suggestions. Many thanks in advance. :-? :-? :-?
